Please encourage your students to use the Center for tutoring and academic support. They offer programs such as peer tutoring, supplemental instruction, academic coaching, and a writing lab. Writing Help
Students who desire assistance with paper writing, no matter the course subject, may avail themselves of the Writing Lab. Both in-person and online assistance is available.
Students can request assistance at any stage of paper development, from formulating outlines to final draft reviews. Many instructors recommend the use of the Writing Lab.
Drop-in tutoring hours, a link to a form to schedule an appointment, and information on how to submit work for online feedback are available at https://my.sbu.edu/academics/student-success-center (scroll toward the bottom of the page).
Accessibility Services and Academic Support
The Office of Accessibility Services and Academic Support is committed to providing an equal opportunity for success for all St. Bonaventure students with permanent or temporary disabilities. They offer students a wide array of academic and personal support services to aid their personal growth, ability to self-advocate, and academic success.
Requests for accommodation are also handled through the Center. Accommodations may include extended time for testing, distraction-free testing sites, note-taking assistance, assistive technology, and other support. More information is available at https://www.sbu.edu/life-at-sbu/student-services/student-success-center/accessibility-services-and-acommodations, including links to forms on MySBU.
Please note that your students who are requesting accommodations need to provide you with documentation that is obtained through the accessibility services office. If you have any questions about providing accommodations, contact Adriane Spencer, Director of Accessibility Services & Academic Support at 716-375-2065 or aspencer@sbu.edu.

Students of Concern
If you are concerned about a student, there is an online form to report the concern at https://my.sbu.edu/custom/students-of-concern. Whether your concern stems from your interactions with a student as an instructor, an academic advisor, a club advisor, or a student supervisor, the Students of Concern team can help.
When you fill out the form, you can request advice on how to help the student or ask that a Student of Concern Team member contact the student. You can also submit the report to document something, even if intervention is not required at the time.
However, if a student is in immediate physical or mental danger, you should always call Campus Safety & Security at 716-375-2525.
