Fall 2018 Workshops
Online Resources for Traditional, Hybrid and Online Teaching by Jennifer Eastman
In this presentation, I draw on my previous experience working for a digital education company to demonstrate the utilization of free web-based applications on Google (also available for download and compatible with programs in the Microsoft Office Suite). Participants will learn how to create group note taking documents, spreadsheets, and presentations as well as how to share these digital files with a simple link via Moodle or email. Students can collaborate or view these files as read only.
Online Teaching – What works and what needs work with Paul Barretta
With the increase in online course offerings there is a need to explore best practices for preparing and delivering course material on a fully online platform. The presenter has developed and delivered two courses in the Online MBA program, one of which was delivered in the first semester of the program.
The presentation will include practices related to course design, interactivity among students, interaction between students and professors, as well as other related topics.
